Case Studies
John E. Kushner Restoration Pavilion, The National World War II Museum
New Orleans, LA – November 2016
- Working with the Architect, Mathes Brierre, and the general contractor, Paillot Construction, NOG/SWW designed a hurricane resistant removable curtain wall that could be uninstalled and reinstalled to allow for the removal of a 1943 Higgins Patrol-Torpedo Boat that was being restored inside the building.
- The Higgins boat was moved from the museum to undergo sea trials by the Coast Guard.
- A new exhibit has been installed and the curtain wall was reinstalled without damaging the glass or aluminum.
